In a significant step towards sustainable energy, Waaree Renewable Technologies announced an agreement with Viet Khanh Joint Stock Company to undertake the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 100MW photovoltaic solar power project in Vietnam.
The partnership highlights increasing cross-border collaboration in renewable energy between India and Vietnam. This project marks the second successful venture between these entities, following a previous 49.5 MW development in Cam Ranh province, finalized in 2019.
The memorandum of understanding underlines Waaree's strong international standing in solar infrastructure. Executive Director Viren Doshi emphasized the project's potential to markedly reduce CO₂ emissions—equivalent to planting over 2 million trees each year.
