In a significant move to bolster their farming community, the Telangana government will be celebrating a major milestone in Hyderabad. An investment of about Rs 9,000 crore is set to be disbursed over the course of just nine days under the 'Rythu Bharosa' scheme, according to Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao.
The Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, alongside his cabinet colleagues, will mark the occasion with a public event near the Telangana Secretariat complex. The effort is part of a strategic pre-monsoon distribution designed to empower farmers financially, ensuring they are prepared for the upcoming agricultural season.
Marking another highlight in the state's commitment to farmer welfare, the current Congress administration has already allocated Rs 21,000 crore towards loan waivers, building on the legacy of previous regimes. The 'Rythu Bharosa' initiative is expected to impact over 70 lakh farmers across 1.49 lakh acres, offering much-needed support amid financial challenges.
