Bihar witnesses a significant infrastructural milestone with the inauguration of the Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur Bridge by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, connecting regions across the Ganges. This project promises to foster regional development and improve connectivity between previously isolated regions and Patna.
The bridge, a long-held vision of the Chief Minister since 2015, represents a decade-long effort to connect Diyara Jalla to the mainland. Minister of Road Construction, Nitin Nabin, praised Nitish Kumar's foresight, highlighting the enhanced connectivity across Bihar.
Local residents and former MLA Satish Rai expressed their gratitude for the development. The new bridge, which extends over 9.76 km between Kacchi Dargah and Bidupur, eases traffic on the Mahatma Gandhi Setu and promises swift travel times. A parallel bridge project is also planned to further expand the state's highway network.
