The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has obtained substantial evidence shedding light on the terrorists behind the Pahalgam terror attack, according to an official release. The evidence encompasses eyewitness accounts, video footage, technical evidence, and sketches provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The gathered evidence is undergoing meticulous analysis, and the NIA has not yet reached any definitive conclusions. Further details about the perpetrators' identities will be publicly disclosed at a suitable juncture. On June 23, a Jammu court granted the NIA a five-day remand for the two accused involved in the incident.
Identified as Parvaiz Ahmad and Bashir Ahmed, the suspects were arrested for harboring Pakistani nationals linked to the banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). BJP leader Shazia Ilmi emphasized the role of the NIA in exposing the conspiracy and complicity surrounding the attack that claimed the lives of 26 people, primarily tourists, in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam region.
