The Adani Foundation celebrated Group Chairman Gautam Adani's 63rd birthday on June 24 by organizing a nationwide mega blood donation drive. The event, held in 206 cities across 21 states and two union territories, surpassed last year's collection record by gathering 27,661 units, equivalent to around 11,100 liters of blood.
This monumental effort, organized under the guidance of the Adani Healthcare team, saw an enthusiastic response from employees and partners, poised to assist over 83,000 patients through multiple blood components. "I deeply thank our Adani Parivaar for stepping forward and making this act of seva count," remarked Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation.
For the first time, the drive expanded globally, with blood donation camps at Colombo West International Terminal Port in Sri Lanka and Dar-es-Salam Port in Tanzania, witnessing participation from over 100 donors. The initiative aligns with Gautam Adani's philosophy of 'service is worship,' reinforcing the Foundation's commitment to equitable and sustainable community development.
