Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris, applauding their decades of service in fostering spirituality, social harmony, and character development. He hailed the organization as a 'transformative force' that steers society from negativity to moral clarity through meditation and spiritual discipline.

In his keynote speech, Sonowal drew parallels between the Brahma Kumaris' mission and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Antyodaya'—uplifting the last person in the societal queue. Emphasizing core values such as compassion, character, and empowerment, he reiterated that Modi's inclusive slogan 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' signifies a deeper spiritual unity and progress.

Sonowal discussed how sacrifice, patience, and moral strength underpin national character, likening these to maternal virtues essential for societal molding. He warned of the challenges facing today's youth amid rapid change, stressing that endurance—Sahan shakti—is paramount for resilience. Sonowal expressed gratitude to the Brahma Kumaris and recognized the Northeast's pivotal spiritual and developmental role in India's future.
