The Yamunotri National Highway faced significant disruptions on Monday as landslides blocked portions of the route, prompting a thorough inspection by Uttarkashi Superintendent of Police Sarita Dobhal. The SP assessed land stability and safety measures in response to the crisis, as reported by Uttarkashi Police on X.

Obstacles emerged especially between Silai Band and Ojri, where the road was washed away. Both local police and the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) highlighted substantial rainfall in Tehri Garhwal, with figures reaching 79.2 mm on Sunday.

As emergency protocols continue, the Uttarkashi District Magistrate Prashant Arya confirmed the ongoing repairs to restore affected sections. Although heavy rain disrupted power and water supply in several regions, the Char Dham Yatra's 24-hour suspension has been lifted, amidst continued search efforts following a fatal landslide near Barkot.
