Ecuador Secures $1 Billion in Renewable Energy Investment
Ecuador's government announced it will receive a $1 billion boost in foreign direct investment focused on renewable energy by 2026. This includes contributions from Power China and Cox Energy. The move is part of the nation’s effort to develop sustainable energy solutions.

Ecuador has secured a significant commitment in the renewable energy sector, as presidential spokesperson Carolina Jaramillo announced on Monday. The South American nation will receive $1 billion in foreign direct investment by 2026.
Out of this ambitious investment package, $400 million will be contributed by Power China, bringing substantial Asian participation into Ecuador's green economy.
Additionally, the Spanish renewable energy group Cox Energy will invest $600 million. This effort underscores Ecuador's focus on expanding its renewable energy infrastructure.
