In a significant move to combat anti-national activities, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has confiscated property associated with the terrorist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT) in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. This property, tied to a broader conspiracy to establish an Islamic Caliphate in India, is a critical asset in the NIA's ongoing efforts to counter such agendas.

According to the NIA, the property, owned by the Hazarat Sams Manssor Peer Avuliya Dargah Trust Board, was unofficially 'sold' to Bava Bahrudeen. Bahrudeen and accomplices allegedly utilized the site since 2015 for clandestine HuT activities, including indoctrination, recruitment, and exhibitions aimed at showcasing military strength of certain Islamic nations.

This case is linked to HuT's attempts to push its ideology and enforce Taqi al-Din al-Nabhani's constitution. The accused allegedly conducted secret Bayaans to radicalize youth, seeking support to challenge India's democratically elected government. The NIA's intervention underlines robust actions against threats to national security.
