Chhattisgarh's Path to Peace: Transforming Surrendered Naxals Through Skill Development

Chhattisgarh's Forest and Climate Change Minister, Kedar Nath Kashyap, praised Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for pioneering efforts to transform surrendered Naxals into self-reliant individuals. The initiative, part of Chhattisgarh's Rehabilitation Policy, provides training and skill development to help integrate former insurgents into society.
The Chhattisgarh Naxal Surrender/Victim Relief and Rehabilitation Policy-2025 offers surrendered Maoists financial aid, education, employment, and security. This policy aims to facilitate their self-employment while the state, with central support, intensifies efforts against Naxalism, aiming for eradication by March 31, 2026.
Earlier, Narayanpur Collector Pratishtha Mamgai highlighted the government's housing survey for Naxal victims and surrendered Naxalites, confirming PM housing approval for eligible beneficiaries. The Livelihood College has enrolled 110 individuals for training programs, including courses for taxi drivers and plumbers, to enhance employment opportunities.
