President Murmu Inaugurates New Era for AYUSH Education

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, ushering in a modern landmark rooted in India's ancient traditions. In her address, President Murmu acknowledged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's dedication to public welfare, attributing regional developments in health, education, and agriculture to his efforts. She encouraged administrators, healthcare providers, and community leaders to uphold and advance welfare initiatives while emphasizing introspection in one's professional commitments.

She stressed the phrase 'health is wealth,' advocating for a healthy lifestyle through regular yoga practice and the integration of ancient AYUSH systems like Ayurveda. Murmu praised these traditional practices as vital to achieving holistic health and highlighted the university's potential to bolster their scientific acceptance and global popularity, asserting their role in India's progress towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
