Tata Power Renewables announced on Thursday a milestone achievement—commissioning 752 megawatts (MW) of new solar projects in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26. This latest development elevates the company's total utility-scale operational capacity to an impressive 5.6 gigawatts (GW).

In a notable year-on-year increase, the subsidiary of Tata Power had previously commissioned 354 MW of solar capacity during the same timeframe of the prior fiscal year, 2024-25, according to a company statement.

The successful project execution was attributed to advanced engineering practices, solid supply chain strategies, effective execution models, and strong vendor partnerships. Going forward, Tata Power Renewables plans to add an additional 1.7 GW of utility-owned capacity and 1 GW for third-party projects in fiscal year 2025-26.
