Malaysia has witnessed a remarkable increase in international tourist arrivals, with figures reaching 16.9 million from January to May 2025. This marks a 20% rise compared to the same period in 2024, according to the country's tourism ministry.

Singapore contributed significantly to this growth, accounting for half of the total arrivals with 8.34 million visitors, followed by Indonesia, China, and Thailand. Notably, the United Kingdom and Australia exhibited increases of 8.7% and 16.6%, respectively.
