Narendra Kumar, the founder of the Rashtriya Gau Sevak Sangh (RGSS), has formally proposed a transformative initiative to Bihar's Deputy CM Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha. The proposal involves the establishment of a Gau Seva Aayog, aimed at enhancing cow protection and promoting rural development in Bihar.
The meeting, which took place in Patna, focused on the urgent need for a state-level body to manage cattle welfare, improve stray animal management, and support rural communities. Narendra Kumar highlighted the success of similar initiatives in states like Uttar Pradesh and explained how the Gau Seva Aayog could foster economic empowerment and improved livelihoods in over 40 districts of Bihar.
The benefits of the proposed commission include infrastructure development for cattle care, job creation, skill development for rural youth, and support for women-led dairy cooperatives. The plan also encourages natural farming, research in cattle genetics, and the utilization of cow by-products for sustainable agriculture. If approved, this initiative could mark a pivotal shift in the state's agricultural and rural sectors.
