Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has called on officials to expedite processes for infrastructure projects, including the construction of a four-lane elevated road along the Rispana and Bindal rivers. In a meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday, Dhami stressed the importance of swift advancements and innovative technology in these pivotal developments.
He emphasized the priority of reconstructing deteriorating bridges and advocated for the use of new technologies, such as geosynthetic retaining walls, for building durable and landslide-resistant roads. A continuous campaign, focusing on making roads pothole-free, is crucial for the state's connectivity, according to the Chief Minister.
Secretary of the Public Works Department, Dr. Pankaj Pandey, stated that feasibility and hydrological studies have been completed for the proposed corridors. Additionally, with the alignment of the Dehradun Ring Road finalized and feasibility reports ready, Dhami is keen on enhancing connections between key cities, alleviating traffic, and accelerating road asphalting activities.
