Maharashtra's political landscape witnessed a rare moment of camaraderie when Uddhav Thackeray, chief of Shiv Sena (UBT), lauded Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Maharashtra Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule interpreted this gesture as embodying the state's tradition of honoring individuals' achievements on their birthdays.
Thackeray's commendation was captured in a coffee table book titled "Maharashtra Nayak," launched by the Governor on Fadnavis's birthday. Thackeray praised Fadnavis as a wise leader with a deep understanding of public issues, predicting his rise in national politics. The book also features Sharad Pawar's tribute, noting Fadnavis's focused and dedicated approach reminiscent of Pawar's early political days.
In response to these praises, Fadnavis stated in a Nagpur press interaction that political ideologies may differ, but it does not equate to personal enmity. He expressed gratitude for the acknowledgments from Thackeray and Pawar, viewing them as significant validations of his leadership.
