Avaada Group Partners with Bihar for Renewable Energy Expansion

Avaada Group has finalized a significant agreement with the Bihar government, aiming to develop a 1-gigawatt renewable energy capacity in the state. This venture, involving an investment of Rs 5,000 crore, marks a pivotal step in expanding clean energy resources in Bihar.
The company plans to implement an array of renewable installations, including ground-mounted, floating, and community solar plants, complemented by battery energy storage systems. This initiative is not only a leap forward in sustainable energy but also in economic development, with the creation of 500 direct jobs.
The agreement was officiated by Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency and Avaada Energy CEO Kishor Nair, alongside state Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Industries Minister Nitish Mishra. Production is set to commence within two years, contingent on the completion of power purchase agreements and the allocation of necessary land or water bodies by the government.
