The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has taken a significant step toward transforming the country's dispute resolution landscape by launching the International ADR Centre (IIAC). With the announcement made on Monday, the centre aims to modernize India's approach to handling commercial disputes.

The IIAC, set to function as a Section 8 company under ICAI's guidance, represents a strategic push into the realm of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The initiative is designed to institutionalize ADR mechanisms nationwide and will serve as a critical intersection for the nation's commercial, legal, and economic interests. ICAI President Charanjot Singh Nanda underscored ADR's strategic necessity in today's business environment.

Offering arbitration, mediation, conciliation, and negotiation services, the IIAC promises a structured, transparent, and time-efficient approach. Adhering to global standards, the centre's mission is to ensure integrity and professionalism, rapidly becoming a beacon for both Indian and international stakeholders looking for credible dispute resolutions.
