Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta held a key meeting at the Secretariat to tackle the persistent issue of stray animals in the national capital. She highlighted the need to view the matter as a social responsibility and urged officials to engage with concerned organizations to incorporate their suggestions into policy-making. Cabinet Ministers Ashish Sood and Kapil Mishra, along with senior departmental officials, attended the session.

Emphasizing a comprehensive approach, Gupta instructed officials to address the stray animal issue seriously, not merely as an administrative task. She called for a dialogue with animal welfare groups, social organizations, and experts to enable a holistic solution. Their insights are crucial for shaping effective policies, she noted.

In financial advances, Gupta expressed gratitude to the Central Government for approving special assistance of Rs 821.26 crore, aimed at enhancing infrastructure across vital sectors in the capital. Sharing her views on social media, CM Gupta thanked the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Finance Minister for their support. She announced that 33 projects, covering health, education, transport, and more, will unfold, marking what she termed a 'visionary step' towards translating 'Viksit Bharat' into 'Viksit Delhi.'
