In a significant crackdown on cross-border smuggling, the BSF, in collaboration with Punjab Police, have made notable recoveries of drones, pistol components, and ammunition. The operations spanned across Tarn Taran and Ferozepur districts.

According to a BSF Public Relations Officer, separate operations in Tarn Taran resulted in the recovery of pistol parts and ammunition from farming fields near Village Dal. Among the items recovered were a plastic bottle containing pistol components and live rounds, and a packet with additional pistol parts, a magazine, and more live rounds. Another collaborative effort led to the discovery of a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone and pistol parts in the fields near Village Mehdipur.

In Ferozepur, another DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone was found entangled in a tree within the premises of Gatti Rajoke School. These operations underscore the effectiveness of the BSF and Punjab Police in thwarting smuggling attempts by Pakistani operatives utilizing drones to transport illegal arms across the border. Meanwhile, Amritsar Police have apprehended four drug traffickers and seized over 6 kg of heroin, with Sarabjeet Joban identified as a central figure in the network.
