The Resident Doctors Association (RDA) at AIIMS Patna has announced an immediate suspension of all elective services and a conditional halt of emergency services from 9 a.m. on August 1, following a violent incident allegedly involving Chetan Anand, MLA of Sheohar, his wife Dr. Ayushi Singh, and their armed guards within the hospital premises.

According to the RDA, the MLA and his companions reportedly forced entry into the Trauma Centre, physically assaulted security personnel, threatened resident doctors with death, and displayed a firearm. Amidst the chaos, a security guard was injured. Despite the severity, no FIR has been filed, and the hospital administration has allegedly failed to take action.

The RDA demands immediate legal action against the involved individuals, deployment of permanent security, a formal condemnation by the administration, and long-term safety protocols. They warned of a total service shutdown if these demands remain unmet by their stipulated deadline.
