In a move championing environmental cleanliness, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today inaugurated the 'Delhi Ko Koode Se Azaadi' campaign. Gupta commenced her drive at the Women and Child Development (WCD) Office, ISBT Kashmere Gate, actively participating in efforts to clear waste.
Speaking to the press, CM Gupta sharply criticized the previous AAP government, alleging they failed to improve administrative conditions, despite their claims. She expressed distress over the dire state of government offices, noting that many remain in dilapidation since a 2021 fire incident, with facilities lacking basic provisions.
Gupta accused the AAP of investing heavily in their own projects while neglecting essential office infrastructure. She assured the construction of new, functional offices and a supportive working environment for all departments. As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Gupta aims for the campaign to last until August 31, calling for collective involvement in office clean-up.
