Deve Gowda Criticizes Opposition Leaders for Supporting Trump’s Economic Remarks

Former Indian Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) chief HD Deve Gowda launched a scathing attack on opposition leaders for endorsing US President Donald Trump's controversial remark about India's economy. He expressed surprise over Trump's 'baseless' remarks, highlighting the absence of similar conduct by any other head of state in recent history. Deve Gowda asserted that even small-scale Indian traders and farmers could offer lessons in dignity and integrity to Trump.

Commending the Modi government for standing firm, Gowda lauded its efforts to safeguard the national interest, particularly for not succumbing to Trump's pressure. He emphasized the administration's protective stance on the agricultural sector and small and medium enterprises, predicting a significant national resurgence.
