Uttarakhand's Crackdown on Civic Fraud and Infrastructure Revamp
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has mandated district magistrates to clamp down on illegal civic document acquisition and issuance. He emphasized ongoing action against encroachments and fraudulent activities masquerading as faith practices. Additionally, monitoring infrastructure projects and healthcare facilities was stressed for quality and progress.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued a directive for strict legal action against individuals illicitly obtaining civic identification documents, including ration cards, Aadhaar, and voter IDs. Authorities involved in their fraudulent issuance face similar scrutiny.
In a video conference with district magistrates, Dhami emphasized persisting efforts against illegal encroachments and misleading practices via 'Operation Kalanemi,' a state initiative targeting frauds posing as sadhus. Additionally, DMs are tasked with ensuring the quality in post-rain infrastructure undertakings.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of inspecting public hospitals for adequate conditions and reiterated his commitment to surprise inspections. Dhami also advocates for embracing indigenous products and encouraged campaigns for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Vocal for Local'.
