In a significant move, the Central government has retracted its previous decision to enforce six cuts in the film Udaipur Files, opting to reevaluate the situation. This decision comes as the Delhi High Court disposed of two petitions seeking a stay on the movie's release.

Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, who were heading the division bench, acknowledged the Central government's revised stance. With ASG Chetan Sharma confirming this withdrawal, a fresh hearing is set to proceed, highlighting the government's ongoing role as a statutory body in this process.

The precise authority under which the Central government recommended these cuts was subject to scrutiny. The court has directed the revisional authority to reach an appropriate decision by Wednesday. This development follows objections from those involved in a related legal case, and the court's insistence on adherence to the Cinematography Act to ensure fairness and justice.
