Hyderabad Police's Operation Muskaan XI: A Significant Victory in Child Rescue

In a concerted effort to combat child exploitation, the Hyderabad City Police, in collaboration with the Child Welfare Committee, Labour Department, and other entities, executed Operation Muskaan XI. The month-long mission concluded with the rescue of 1,247 children from hazardous environments, marking a significant step in child protection.
Spanning from July 1 to 31, 2025, the operation involved 28 specialized teams conducting inspections at commercial venues, transit hubs, and vulnerable zones. Their round-the-clock dedication ensured the rescue of 1,173 boys and 74 girls, predominantly from Telangana, with some from other states and 14 from Nepal.
In pursuit of legal accountability, the operation led to 55 FIRs against employers violating child labor laws and 939 cases under the Minimum Wages Act. A significant fine of Rs 47,75,921 was levied, underscoring the authorities' commitment to justice and child safety.
