Udhampur Students Craft Rakhis for Soldiers in Special Raksha Bandhan Tribute

In a heartfelt tribute, students from Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, are crafting handmade Rakhis and greeting cards for Indian soldiers to express their gratitude. This gesture honors the soldiers' roles in Operation Sindoor and reflects their continued commitment to border security.

One student mentioned that this Raksha Bandhan holds unique significance, as it follows the successful execution of Operation Sindoor. Emphasizing their pride, the students have decided to create these tokens of appreciation themselves, rather than buying them from the market, as a nod to the soldiers' dedication.

Operation Sindoor, initiated on May 7, was a retaliatory measure against the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. The operation targeted terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and PoJK. Ahead of Raksha Bandhan, senior military officials briefed students at IIT Jammu about the strategic elements of the operation, highlighting India's comprehensive counter-terrorism approach.
