Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh attended the last rites of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren in Ranchi, expressing condolences from AAP and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal. Singh described Soren's death as a significant loss for Jharkhand and lauded his lifelong dedication to the state.

Large crowds gathered at Soren's residence to pay their respects, with his final rites scheduled in Nemra, his native village. Soren passed away after a prolonged illness on August 4, leaving behind a legacy of advocating for tribal rights, influenced by a personal history of injustice faced by his family.

Soren's political career spanned decades, featuring multiple terms as Chief Minister and tenures in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. As a tribal rights champion, he founded the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, leading campaigns for tribal autonomy and land rights, cementing his status as a Jharkhand icon.
