Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President and Union Minister Chirag Paswan has leveled accusations against Bihar's Opposition parties, claiming they are distorting his statements to falsely suggest a divide within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Paswan's comments on the state's law and order issues followed the gang-rape of a police aspirant in Bodh Gaya, adding fuel to an ongoing political discourse.
In an interview with ANI, Paswan clarified that his remarks were intended as constructive criticism from within the government's fold. He stressed his role as a bridge between the public and the ruling alliance, seeking to highlight issues like crime that affect Bihar's citizens. Despite not being part of Bihar's local government, he reaffirms his support for the NDA, emphasizing the coalition's solidarity ahead of upcoming elections.
Paswan criticized Opposition attempts to sow discord, asserting his commitment to the NDA and expressing confidence in its electoral prospects. Furthermore, he distinguished his political vision from Tejashwi Yadav's RJD, advocating for a 'Mahilayein-Yuva' focused approach rather than the traditional MY (Muslim-Yadav) base. His campaign continues with the mantra of 'Bihar First, Bihari First,' aiming for comprehensive state development.
