In a move aimed at honoring cultural sentiments and adhering to legal norms, Vantara has pledged support for the Maharashtra government's petition to return the revered Mahadevi elephant, Madhuri, to her home at Nandani Math. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis disclosed this development following a meeting with Vantara officials in Mumbai.

The elephant, known for her religious significance to the Jain community, has been at the center of a judicial order that saw her temporary relocation. Vantara officials clarified they were following Supreme Court directives and had no intentions to possess Madhuri, reaffirming their commitment to collaborating on her safe return to Kolhapur.

Vantara also expressed regret for any distress caused to the local community and reiterated their commitment to supporting wildlife care and cultural harmony. They are poised to aid in crafting a new rehabilitation center for Madhuri, ensuring compliance with best practices and expert advice, pending judicial approval.
