In an effort to provide comprehensive care for elephant Madhuri, Vantara, located in Jamnagar, has proposed establishing a satellite rehabilitation center in Kolhapur district. This plan has gained support from the Maharashtra Government and Jain math.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed support after discussions with Vantara, confirming their readiness to work alongside the state government's Supreme Court petition regarding Madhuri's transfer. Vantara's adherence to court orders ensures a transparent process.
The proposed center aims to meet international standards in elephant care, offering facilities such as a hydrotherapy pond and specialized treatment rooms. The move aligns with Vantara's commitment to addressing the cultural importance of Madhuri in the Jain math and Kolhapur community.
