Vantara Sanctuary Proposes Elephant Rehabilitation Centre in Maharashtra

Vantara Sanctuary has announced the establishment of a new satellite rehabilitation center for Madhuri, the revered Mahadevi elephant, in Kolhapur's Nandani area of Maharashtra. The decision arises following a directive from the Supreme Court, with Vantara affirming its dedication to respecting the Jain Math's religious sentiments.

They clarified that the relocation decision was a judicial mandate, emphasizing that Vantara's role is providing care and support without interfering in religious traditions.
