Delhi Police's Anti-Gang Squad has successfully dismantled a major counterfeit drug syndicate involved in manufacturing and distributing fake lifesaving medicines across multiple states. Six individuals, including a kingpin, were apprehended in the operation.
The busted network extended through various locations including Moradabad, Deoria, and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh; Panipat and Jind in Haryana; and Baddi and Solan in Himachal Pradesh. Police raids led to the uncovering of factories in Jind, Haryana, and Baddi, HP.
The operation intensified after a strategic interception at a fuel station in Delhi, where two men from Moradabad were caught transporting counterfeit drugs. Further investigation revealed a widespread racket, with follow-up raids and interrogations uncovering the full extent of their illegal activities.
