KPI Green Energy announced on Wednesday that it secured a significant order from Aditya Birla Renewables for a solar balance-of-system project with a capacity of 96 megawatt peak (MWp) in Gujarat.
In the renewable energy sector, a balance-of-system (BOS) entails various devices that handle the movement of direct current (DC) through solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. These are crucial for converting DC into alternating current (AC) to guarantee efficient power delivery.
KPI Green Energy stated that its wholly-owned subsidiary, KPIG Energia Private Limited, has been awarded a Letter of Award (LOA) by Aditya Birla Renewables Limited (ABRL) for constructing a 64 MWac/96 MWp Solar Balance of System power plant in Mahua. The project encompasses tasks such as design, procurement, supply, insurance arrangements, and commissioning according to the scheduled commercial operation date (CoD). The company, however, did not disclose specific details regarding the project's cost or execution timeline.
