National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson Vijaya K Rahatkar conducted significant reviews on women's safety and empowerment during her two-day visit to Assam. She met with Chief Secretary Ravi Kota and discussed various women-centric schemes implemented across the state.
Rahatkar emphasized the importance of taking stock of the situation, noting the numerous initiatives undertaken by the Assam government to elevate women's status. Her discussions with state officials included examining projects executed in convergence with the central government.
