In response to the catastrophic cloudburst that struck Dharali in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand's Health Department, guided by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, is proactively addressing the crisis. Medical teams have arrived at the disaster site, initiating immediate treatment for victims while additional personnel join the ongoing relief efforts.
Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar has underscored the swift and effective measures taken by the department amidst this catastrophe. After visiting key hospitals in Dehradun, he evaluated emergency services, ICU facilities, and overall preparedness. He emphasized that no patient shall face a shortage of medical care.
Dr. Kumar revealed that comprehensive mental health care is also being prioritized, deploying a team of psychiatrists to offer support in affected areas. Hospitals across the state, including AIIMS Rishikesh, have reserved beds and resources for disaster victims, ensuring round-the-clock ambulance services are available for rapid response.
