Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a significant address on Wednesday, celebrated the inauguration of 'Kartavya Bhawan', a new government building constructed to symbolize and facilitate India's ambitious goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Emphasizing its role in policy-making, Modi noted its alignment with the country's democratic and constitutional values.

The Prime Minister highlighted the strategic importance of infrastructures such as Kartavya Path, the New Parliament House, and Bharat Mandapam, as essential in making influential decisions and carving out the future direction of a 'Viksit Bharat'. He detailed the rationale behind its name—'Kartavya Bhawan'—as a representation of fundamental democratic principles.

Modi underscored the financial efficiency of the new infrastructure, citing that it would mitigate the hefty annual expenses, which amount to Rs 1.5 thousand crores, incurred from renting over 50 different locations in Delhi. The Prime Minister criticized the inadequate conditions of the old administrative buildings that dated back to the British era, highlighting the constraints they imposed on crucial ministries like the Home Ministry.

The dedication of Kartavya Bhawan to the nation stands as a testament to the enduring resolve towards public service and self-reliance in India's development journey. Modi also acknowledged the contribution of workers, the 'Shramyogis', in bringing this vision to fruition while ensuring environmental considerations within its design.

In a ceremonial gesture, the Prime Minister planted a sapling at the premises, reinforcing the building's commitment to ecological sustainability. Modi's interaction with the workers was marked by mutual respect and gratitude, as he lauded their relentless efforts in shaping a new chapter in India's administrative history. (ANI)
