The Delhi Police have firmly rejected allegations of a communal angle in the murder of Asif Qureshi, cousin of Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi, insisting the crime stemmed from a neighborhood dispute over parking. Authorities reported the fatal incident took place in Delhi's Bhogal area.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South East, Hemant Tiwari, clarified the events. According to him, a local dispute on parking sparked a deadly altercation between Asif Qureshi and his neighbors Ujjwal and Gautam. The victim was attacked and later declared dead at the hospital.
Despite the official statement, the victim's wife, Shaina, believes the murder was premeditated and religionally motivated, suggesting tension stemmed from their family being Muslim in a primarily Hindu area. She also implicated the accused's family history in criminal activities, further complicating the narrative.
