In a tragic incident in southwest Delhi's Vikaspuri area, a 24-year-old delivery worker named Ashish Verma was fatally stabbed late Friday night during a drunken argument over a financial dispute. The altercation took place around 12:20 am, involving two neighbors identified as Bhajan Lal and Rakesh.

The father of the deceased, Ramsurat Verma, promptly alerted the authorities following the stabbing. Ashish was quickly transported to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. According to the medico-legal case (MLC), Ashish suffered a deep incised stab wound on his left chest, and his body has been stored in the mortuary for an autopsy.

The police have arrested both suspects, charging them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Investigations are ongoing, as officials piece together the sequence of events leading up to the fatal confrontation. The case underscores the broader issue of alcohol-fueled conflicts and escalating violence in the area.
