The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Gynaesh Kumar, has firmly dismissed the accusations of electoral misconduct amid allegations of 'vote-chori' by opposition parties, who claim that voter list revisions in poll-bound Bihar are flawed.
Addressing the media, Kumar labeled the allegations as misinformation, spread by parties that purportedly manipulate the Election Commission's processes for their advantage. He reiterated that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is a transparent procedure aimed at ensuring accurate voter rolls.
Opposition figures, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accuse the Election Commission of collaborating with the ruling party. Kumar urged all political entities to engage responsibly by reviewing draft electoral rolls and filing legitimate objections, guaranteeing that every political party is treated equally by the Commission.
