Congress MP Digvijaya Singh launched a sharp critique against the BJP on Saturday, accusing the ruling party of quashing opposition attempts to discuss electoral concerns while promptly dismissing their allegations. 'The ruling party remains silent on opposition claims but swiftly issues refutations,' Singh stated.
As discussions grow intense, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed possession of evidence pointing to rigging in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at a legal conclave, Gandhi alleged the election system was compromised, warning that over 80 seats might have been dodged, thus endangering India's democratic integrity.
Meanwhile, Congress MP Rajeev Shukla questioned the Election Commission's transparency, suspecting it of hiding information by refusing to share an electronic version of the voter list. Responding to Gandhi's allegations of 'vote theft,' the Election Commission dismissed them, labeling the claims as 'misleading and baseless.'
