In a heated exchange addressing election integrity, BJP leaders have fired back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi following his recent accusations against the Election Commission. Ravi Shankar Prasad, a senior BJP figure, dismissed Gandhi's claims as theatrics, challenging him to produce any significant evidence.
Speaking at an event in Patna, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh characterized Gandhi's assertions as sensational and lacking in substance. He criticized Gandhi for purportedly misleading the public with these unfounded claims during political discourse, alleging they only serve to undermine a respected constitutional body.
Despite Gandhi's insistence that his party holds conclusive proof of the Election Commission's complicity in "vote theft" favoring the BJP, the Commission has stood firm, dismissing these allegations as baseless. It highlighted its commitment to fairness and transparency, urging election officials to disregard what it calls reckless accusations.
