CM Yogi's Spiritual Appeal: Preserving Heritage Amid Modern Progress on Krishna Janmashtami

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked Krishna Janmashtami by visiting the sacred Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura on Saturday. The Chief Minister offered prayers and called on the devotees both from India and abroad to embrace the path of Dharma advocated by Lord Krishna while working towards societal and national welfare. He underscored the importance of preserving Sanatan heritage alongside pursuing modern development, while also applauding the achievements of his government.

Arriving at the revered site around 11:50 am, CM Yogi performed rituals at Thakur Keshavdev and Mata Yogmaya, engaging in a pooja at the Lord Krishna Chabutra. Following this, he visited Bhagwat Bhawan and chanted spiritual slogans that resounded within the premises. Celebrating the 5252nd birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, the Chief Minister emphasized the significance of Braj Bhoomi, highlighting its sanctity as land revered for Lord Vishnu's complete incarnation and divine acts. From Ayodhya to Mathura, he noted these sites as everlasting emblems of India's spiritual heritage.

Yogi Adityanath also spoke about his continuous involvement in the region's spiritual festivities over the past eight years. Committed to the revival of places like Mathura, Vrindavan, and Barsana as global pilgrimage hubs, he reiterated the 'double-engine government's dedication under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership to meld ancient traditions with cutting-edge advancements. Highlighting projects like Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Ayodhya's grand Ram Temple, he outlined the state's strides in amalgamating spiritual heritage with modern-day progress.

During his address, the Chief Minister spotlighted cow protection as pivotal to Sanatan Dharma, with his government providing financial support to farmers rearing over 1.6 million cows and ensuring care for those without guardians. He called for combating divisive forces and fostering social unity, emphasizing the lasting values of universal brotherhood, peace, and harmony guiding the world under Sanatan Dharma. CM Yogi further drew attention to PM Modi's 'Panch Pran' pillars of national rejuvenation, supporting projects revitalizing India's vibrant spiritual and cultural roots along the Vindhyavasini Dham corridor.

Praising the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad's role in regional development, Yogi Adityanath urged citizens to eschew detrimental influences undermining national strength. He highlighted the duty to honor Sanatan Dharma symbols and preserve rivers, claims significant for national identity. Concluding, the Chief Minister reiterated Janmashtami greetings, invoking calls of revered deities and Bharat Mata, reinforcing the traditional spirit of the observance.
