In a significant move, the Indian Army has teamed up with state officials from Assam and Manipur to boost collaboration and mutual understanding. This was officially announced as Exercise Samanvay Shakti 2025 commenced at Laipuli in Upper Assam on Wednesday.
This Military-Civil Integration Exercise is centered on building a harmonious relationship among security forces, government departments, and civil institutions. It aims to tackle the region's intricate challenges by promoting a unified and strategic approach.
The inaugural event saw participation from various entities, including the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, District Administration, Police, Intelligence Agencies, NDRF, SDRF, Medical Officials, BRO & GREF, Railways, and security bodies from OIL India, IOCL, and Coal India, plus local media. A similar exercise will be replicated in Manipur from August 20-30, incorporating disaster management, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and other vital areas. The initiative seeks to foster trust between local populations in Upper Assam and Manipur and the institutions serving them, aiding national integration and development.
