Uttar Pradesh Intensifies Filariasis Eradication Efforts

As part of the initiative, village chiefs in various districts are organizing educational sessions on the disease's risks and the benefits of medication.

In Kanpur's Bidhnu block, local leader Rahul Chaubey showcased informative videos with patient testimonials to educate villagers. Similarly, efforts in Sarsaul block and Ghatampur have ignited community interest, with health officers actively dispelling myths. A street play in Rae Bareli further highlighted the campaign's message, illustrating how simple medicine can prevent severe health issues. The ongoing MDA Yatra amplifies these efforts, aiming for comprehensive community engagement across different regions.

The state's Health Department, backed by CM Yogi, is committed to the campaign's success, urging public cooperation to maximize impact. With notable progress, State Filaria Officer Dr. A.K. Chaudhary expressed optimism about achieving complete medicine consumption.
