The Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) has announced the launch of Special Campaign 5.0, targeting comprehensive cleanliness and effective management of office spaces. Scheduled from October 2 to 31, the campaign follows its successful predecessors from previous years.

This initiative will be conducted in two phases, with preparatory actions having commenced on September 15. Mirroring the success of last year's Campaign 4.0, which significantly reduced backlog and enhanced work environments, DPIIT will once again seek to streamline operations and improve Swachhata across numerous locations.

The department has pinpointed 70 crucial sites nationwide for this campaign. Primary activities will include e-waste disposal, meticulous record management, and optimizing space. Innovative projects already launched include a 'waste to art' scheme by the National Institutes of Design and renewable energy initiatives by the National Council for Cement and Building Materials, emphasizing sustainable practices.
