In a bid to promote cleanliness and celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil inaugurated the 'Swachhata hi Sewa 2025' initiative in Surat, Gujarat, on Wednesday. The event, part of a broader campaign, saw Patil engaging directly with cleanliness volunteers, known as Swachhata Doots, to clean the streets and reinforce the message of hygiene and community involvement.
Simultaneously, in Gandhinagar, Sports, Youth, and Culture Minister Harsh Sanghvi spearheaded the launch of the Obesity Free campaign, set to unfold in three phases across the state. Elsewhere, Prahlad Modi, the Prime Minister's younger brother, extended birthday greetings by participating in a fruit distribution event at Sola Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, demonstrating the community's involvement in health-focused initiatives.
A lively celebration unfolded in Maninagar with Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Amul Bhatt and Councillor Karan Bhatt in attendance. The event featured traditional Garba performances and a floral representation of India inscribed with 'Namotsav'. Meanwhile, Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi highlighted large-scale social events planned throughout the state, mentioning that around 5 lakh people are expected to donate blood. Complementing these activities, a 15-day nationwide 'Seva Pakhwada' campaign has been launched, orchestrated by the BJP to further mark the Prime Minister's birthday through blood donation camps, cleanliness efforts, and exhibitions showcasing governmental achievements.
