General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff, engaged in a high-level meeting with Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, on Thursday. Discussions were centered on expediting land acquisition to advance crucial defence infrastructure. The need for Zilla Sainik Boards to support ex-servicemen was also emphasized.

Furthermore, General Dwivedi addressed the lack of youth engagement in military enrollment and engaged in dialogues about frontier highways, state security, and developmental initiatives. Governor Parnaik underscored a collaborative and collective approach for the Vibrant Village Programme, highlighting its reliance on cooperation between governments, communities, and the military.

The governor praised the Indian Army's collaboration in implementing the Vibrant Village Programme. The Army's influence on remote areas could turn them into growth centers. Additional focus was on pre-recruitment training and support for Sainik School admissions. Stakeholders appreciate the Army's role in community development.

The COAS also visited Likabali Military Station on September 17, analyzing combat readiness and operational updates. The Indian Army's Spear Corps is nearing the end of its expedition to Mount Gorichen, accentuating the themes of endurance and team spirit. This explores adventure tourism and reinforces civil-military relations.

The expedition strives to encourage youth through mountaineering values, with the team executing technical climbs and preparing for the final summit. The mission exemplifies planning, resilience, and coordination in high-altitude challenges, promoting the concept of adventure as an inspirational force.
