Indonesian state energy company Pertamina stated it will reroute fuel to certain areas in Sumatra following a blaze at its Dumai refinery. A company official confirmed Thursday that there were no supply disruptions following the incident.

The fire, extinguished late Wednesday, did not affect gasoline supplies in northern Sumatra. The Dumai refinery continues to supply gasoil and jet fuel to specific regions. Pertamina's spokesperson, Agustiawan, reassured that other refineries would assist in supplying areas unable to receive shipments from Dumai.

Agustiawan stated, "With support from refineries nationwide, we assure that supply levels remain stable." The Dumai refinery, Indonesia's third-largest with a capacity of 170,000 barrels per day, is investigating the cause of the fire.
