On Thursday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh commemorated the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), emphasizing its influential role in nation-building. He praised the RSS for instilling values like discipline and unity over its 100-year history, which he described as an inspiring saga of nation-building, rather than merely the journey of an organization.

Addressing the centenary celebrations, Singh remarked on the dedication and service of RSS volunteers, who have consistently risen to the occasion during crises, reinforcing societal harmony and national pride. He fondly recalled his own experiences as an RSS volunteer, describing the organization's tradition of service and sacrifice.

The celebrations saw prominent figures, including RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and former President Ram Nath Kovind, paying homage to founder K.B. Hedgewar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the event, applauding the RSS's commitment to nurturing and strengthening the nation over the decades.
